Honda Cars India has finally announced the price for its City e:HEV Hybrid. Having said that, the vehicle costs Rs 19.49 lakhs (ex-showroom). The bookings for the same are underway. While the deliveries of the vehicle are expected to begin anytime soon. The City Hybrid version has been introduced in the single top-spec ZX variant. Moving on, The Honda City Hybrid version will rival the likes of the top-end trim of the Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna.


Performance-wise, the new City Hybrid draws its power from an Atkinson Cycle 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine that is further paired with two electric motors. This whole setup generates a combined output of 124 bhp power and 253 Nm peak torque. Transmission options include an eCVT gearbox. Furthermore, the vehicle comes with three drive modes namely EV, Hybrid, and Petrol. Also, the City e:HEV can achieve a claimed mileage of 26.5 kmpl. 


The City Hybrid version gets subtle cosmetic revisions. These include a revised radiator grille, 16-inch alloy wheels, a blue outline on the Honda logos, new fog light garnishes, a tailgate-mounted e:HEV badge, a boot lid spoiler, and an updated diffuser design on the rear bumper. 

The cabin of the Honda City e:HEV remains more or less the same as the standard version. However, it does get a few changes in terms of an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and Apple Carplay & Android Auto connectivity. Besides this, the Hybrid sedan gets features like an electric sunroof, an updated version of Honda Connect with Amazon Echo, ambient lighting, a 7-inch color TFT instrument cluster, Google assistant, and smartwatch integration. 


The safety kit comprises six airbags, a multi-angle rearview camera, lane-keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking, ORVM-mounted lane-watch cameras, hill-start assist, ISOFIX-compatible rear seats, vehicle stability assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and adaptive cruise control.
